why will the spurs win the championship this year?

Ok, if I get harsh replies, its probably because the fan base of another team is defending there team and they probably would not succumb to the thought of having those old-spurs win it again. But lets run away from that here: all I'm asking for is if it happens, why will the spurs win the championship this year amid the lakers, celtics, cavs, and magic?

well if they do its because of their team defense. ITs not how many points you can score its how many points you allow to be scored.

what a shocker the best defensive team in the league last year won an NBA Championship (the Celtics). someone should get that memo to Phoenix ASAP.

It time for someone to step up in SPURS... because Tony and Manu are kinda SLOW after they got their injuries... MASON is one... Duncan still consistent.... I hope Bruce would return to his starting role...

Srsly... I want to see Parker and Manu explode at the start of the 2nd half of the season (after allstars) to make it more believable for SPURS TO WIN THE CHAMPIONSHIP....

I'm a spurs fan, and I'm probably gonna sound little biased when I say this, but the spurs are the sh*t. When the playoffs come, the spurs will be a different teams on the court, the only team that will give them a challenge will be the lakers. Celtics won't make it to the finals this year, garnet is getting old and you can tell by the way he is playing, cavs will smash them. But the biggest factor in determining whether lakers win the lakers-spurs series is if bynum can step it up and play good ball consistently. Duncan will play well in the series, always does, and ginobili is still recovering from his injury and should be back to his old self by post season time. This is gonna be the year spurs get there fifth ring.
